Rainman,
I'd like to get one of the 60 ones that shows the operation, disassembly and assembly. Use of the tripod and mounts and field deployment.
Do you have the TM that goes that far or a couple that cover it.
Thanks,
Bob

Re: 7.62 mm M 60 TM's and FM's available
Hey Bob,
Heck, I don't know what they say and show, I thought I was doing pretty good to go through and list them, now you want me to read em first! The first one listed in as Tech Bulletin that covers "Equipment Improvement Report and Maintrnance Digest for Tank Automotive, and Armament Equipment" and it's still in shrink wrap, not bound, but 3 holed ready to be put into a binder.
In review of the other manuals, it would seem they all have break down, parts diagrams, part ID and part numbers. The 2nd one I have listed covers every mount and gun ring in use in 1973. The FM 23-67 is the field manual that is probably the most common and complete for the M60, I have a 1964 and a 1984 printing. These have pictures showing fileds of fire and traverse shooting methods, engaging preselected targets, engaging aircraft as targets etc. The 64 has a drop of something on the cover, but the pages and edges are clean. The 84 edition has a color picture of a squad with kevlar helmets and web gear, the lead soldier has an M60 with the bipod down, and showing a muzzle flash. If I had a real M60 and a mount, I'd want all of them, but that's just me. If I had a replica, I'd at least want the FM 23-67. Let me know
went to ebay and ripped this off a listing....
FM 23-67 Manual Contents:
Chapter 1: Introduction
2: Disassembly & Assembly
3: Mounts (Bipod Assembly, M-122 Tripod Mount, and Vehicular Mounts)
4: Operation & Functioning
5: Malfuctions, Stoppages, Immediate Action, Remedial Action, Maintenance, and Destruction
6: Crew Training
7: Techniques of Fire During Periods of Good Visivility
8: Techniques Of Fire During Periods of Limited Visibility
9: Tactical Employment Of The M-60 Machinegun
10: Machinegun Marksmanship Training
11: Courses Of Fire: Field Target Firing
Appendix I: References
II: Ammunition
III: Proficiency Examination & Proficiency Field Course
IV: Training Management, Training Aids, and Devices
V: Safety
VI: Blank Firing Attachment M-13

Consider it yours! I'm sure we can work a trade for something. Got any of that empty brass laying around?
