Paint color/honoring Vietnam vets
I am about to paint my M151a2 1974 year group. I am restoring this Mutt for a museum ant it was under water during Hurricane IKE. I want to paint it as an in theater late Vietnam War vehicle. It has two PRC 25 Radios, one each over rear wheel wells. I already purchased the Forest green semi gloss paint that I believe is period correct but am having a hard time finding A2 pictures from in theater to duplicate. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Cris

A2's came in very late in the war and were mostly in the MP units and at the very end they had a large group of M825 TOW's over there. That is why you don't see a lot of in country pictures from there. I am going to say they were only there for a year, maybe two, when we left. There were nowhere near as many A2's as A1's. We did give a bunch of them to the Vietnamese.

when i left in oct 70, from HHC MP's, we had only A1's at the time, but they were all one color, so matching a pattern is not needed, just paint it solid and you'll be fine. then you can mark it for HHC MP's 199th light infantry brigade.
a good bumper number to use would be HQ 20.

Does that have the "Military Police" banner over the windshield wiper panel? Also stars, etc. sorry, I'm retired Air Force post Vietnam and am just learning about these jeeps mainly from pictures.

If you're going MP with it I've got a Federal Signal 24V siren and a placard/disc for the spare tire that came off of mine. I'm planning to put them up on Ebay.
