Re: Avatar
From looking at the source codes, it appears that if you link your avatar to a web page such as photo bucket it shows. If you are uploading your own picture then PHP is looking for it in the wrong place, so puts up the secondary command which is "user avatar". I would guess it is a simple HTML typo that just needs some tweaking. Just my opinon, but from looking at several pages and comparing the HTML, that should be someplace in the ball park.
Just my 3 cents worth.

Re: Avatar
For what it is worth, I uploaded my avatar to Photobucket then linked it back to here and it worked. When you direct upload your avatar PHP is looking in the wrong place for it so defaults to "user avatar" text.
Just my 2 1/2 cents worth this afternoon. Enough computer work time to go drive the mutt to a car show. LOL

yup, my girl whipped all the guys and they liked it so much they are sleeping it off.
It seems the php scripting is the culprit in loosing the avatars. I direct linked it to photobucket, and now it's showing for me.

Re: Avatar
I have given up on the avitar. The old one does not display in the person info page where you set it up. I deleted it (it used to work) and reentered the same picture and I get the dreaded red X. Tried to tweek it in case it was too big, no go.
I will just try to muddle through without the little guy. I do miss Sarge's though.

Dave,
Its an internal problem with the server, if you upload the avatar to a photo server like photobucket and link to it it'll work.
