I was going to make a post on this but you guys beat me to it. I thought it may have been my computer since sometime they are there and sometime they are not.

Apparently from what I've been able to find out, the avatar issue is coming from the server. The software co. says there is an intermittent problem with some windows based servers where the avatars come and go at random. They are trying to come up with a fix for it, and I guess it's incurable from this end. Been making me crazy the last few days trying to figure it out. On the plus side, I did figure out how to modify the software to get the profile info on the left side of messages and got topics with new messages to turn blue so RickF can find them...lol

I see avatars on the old sight still up and working. It seems it must be just here and not most of the WWW

it is specific to us and not 503, we use different internet servers. Its not in my software, its a problem on the server side. Something to do with windows based servers and a glitch in IE6. Try uploading your avatar again, most of the others seem to have returned.

The only avatars I am seeing yours Moose and MR D's . I don't see any one elses avatars at all. I did try deleteing and the uploading mine again and it still won't show.

Not that big of a deal, just a our fine high tech world at work. LOL

need to go in and check the permissions in the admin control panel. Seems phpbb can do some strange things.
