Found on SS site
I found this album on the Steel Soldiers site. Hope I don't get in trouble for posting it here but these are pics I have never seen before of mutts. The poster has not been on the site for a year.

If I remember correctly you may not be able to view the pics if you are not a Steel Soldiers member.

Re: Found on SS site
Nope, can't see 'em.
Re: Found on SS site
i liked seeing the assembly line pic at the end of the string, but the pic of the medics, their ambulance and a hospital bus looked vaguely familiar. there was an MP jeep there as well, but the location was not given. can anyone else who saw the pics identify that scene?
Re: Found on SS site
I have sent an e-mail and a pm to the person that posted them on SS. I will see if I get a response.
Ron, That is deja vu, Remember a picture that comes up occasionally of a line of A2's with TOW's on them? I swear I was there when they took that pic, I don't remember the line up but do remember seeing them driving around and the surrounding scenery is REAL familiar.

Good post Rick, great pics. Like many were saying on Johnfals string, seems like all the photos of 151's from the VN Theater are 151's, yet you never see one there now. I guess like John says they like the A2 look but the more I see the older models I think I am starting to like the flat fender look better myself.

I think thats because most of the pics seen posted overall are from the 60's. Not so much from the 70's which is when the a2's would've been replacing the a1's.csmith wrote:Good post Rick, great pics. Re: Found on SS site
slight divergence from rickf's thread, with apologies.......to all of you who were in the nam in the 60's, or those who weren't, but are the right age group, and were elsewhere at the time, do you ever find yourself thinking, when seeing pics like these, "that was 40 plus years ago, i'm getting old". i'm still working as a construction glazier, and i now find that i have tools that are older than the apprentices and some of the journeymen i work with. and that's keeping in mind that my main box was stolen in 1976, and i had to replace them.

Re: Found on SS site
Jim, why do you suppose that is? Seems like there would have been just as many photos taken at the end of the war as the earlier years?? But maybe with the sentiment towards the end not so many bothered???moose53 wrote:I think thats because most of the pics seen posted overall are from the 60's. Probably a number of factors, drawdowns in the number of troops, changes in attitude/sentiments, some guys being there on their second or third tours etc.csmith wrote:Jim, why do you suppose that is? I may be the young gun in this group but, just last night, I had a conversations with a teammate about a new guy on the team. He said, "Do you realize that we have BDUs older than him?"199th mp wrote:slight divergence from rickf's thread, with apologies.......to all of you who were in the nam in the 60's, or those who weren't, but are the right age group, and were elsewhere at the time, do you ever find yourself thinking, when seeing pics like these, "that was 40 plus years ago, i'm getting old". i'm still working as a construction glazier, and i now find that i have tools that are older than the apprentices and some of the journeymen i work with. and that's keeping in mind that my main box was stolen in 1976, and i had to replace them.

It hit me one day when I realized I was hiring people with birth dates newer than my seniority date lol.....Francis Marion wrote:I may be the young gun in this group but, just last night, I had a conversations with a teammate about a new guy on the team.
