1965 Ford 151A1 for sale in central Florida

Unread post by toptiger » December 7th, 2007, 4:10 pm

went by to check out a 1965 ford A1 this am.

Pros: no rust anywhere, very clean inside. runs, decent shape. screw adjustable drivers seat. Titled and registered, Florida. 4,000 miles but unsure if original? Tools. Original data plate, military gray vynl top, side curtains and doors. decent tires.

Cons: was cut in the middle and rewelded- out side looks fine but underneath it is quite visible and was patched. A2 windshield, scruffy replacement hood. sloppy turn signal unit, and replaced light switch.

6,000 firm, hey i tried but he would not budge.

i will pass on it but if anyone else is interested, give the seller a call - Guy Canter 863 314 9252-Sebring Florida. Sometimes the line is busy but they are there- so keep trying. also took some pics but haven't figured out how to post here yet {moose?} but any one can email me.

posting images here is exactly the same as on G503. upload your image to a internet hosting site, such as photobucket. When you post your message here and want to add a picture click the img block just underneath the subject line and then type the link to your picture. then click the img block again and it will put the ending code in place. thats all there is to it. it'll look like this:

Top: Looks good on the outside but a bit pricey for a cut Mutt.

Floyd, the underside is completely rust free, if that counts, like brand new almost...but, as you say, a cut mutt in that condition still isn't worth $6,000. I did suggest less, er...a lot less, but the seller said he would keep it as it was not worth any less to him.
Still, may be some one will be interested.

Cut's are gaining in value all the time as long as the reweld was done correctly and neat. As the uncut mutt market is drying up the cuts are becoming more desirable. I assure you I could weld one together without you being able to see where it was done. very labor intensive and time consuming but it can be done. I repaired a lot of Porsches and you could not have any visible evidence of repair.

A cutt MUTT is a parts only vehicle. They have very little value in the MUTT world. That MUTT is only worth about 3K tops. Heck a rusted out repairable uncutt tub would bring that much by it self.

And yes to the cut ones are being a bit more desirable because the uncuts are being near to be complete but they will still bring far much less than a uncut MUTT.

I call it robbing Peter (cut mutt) to pay Paul (uncut mutt).
