protective mount for decon bottle

Unread post by moose53 » July 17th, 2010, 4:37 pm

Spotted this on ebay, its the extremely rare protective mounting bracket used for mounting a decon bottle on the M-151. The bottles are plentiful, but try and find these M-151 brackets.... the seller doesnt know what it is...

Rick
I know, but he often doesn't know what some parts are making them easy to miss. I got my vehicle adapters for the KY-57 from him and he called them something unrelated as well. He advertised the decon bracket as a radio bracket. You have to look at the pics on his auctions to identify what the item really is. Sometimes he has some really rare stuff that we need but you will never find it on a regular search.

This is why we should not point out that something is rare when we post. WE are going to be the ones to have to pay for it in the long run. The deal on the coils a while ago comes to mind also. Luckily it was one of our members who got at least one of them but after that they disappeared. Some of us work for a living and we can not be on E-bay 24/7 or at a seconds notice.

unfortunately Rick, thats how deals work, if you're there you can score, you snooze, you lose.... I rarely check ebay anymore, but happened to that day and saw the bracket. Just tried to help other members who like you say don't have time to watch for things.

actually, I've gotten stuff cheaper from him than a lot of other places. I got the battery boxes for my KY-57's from him too, he listed them as "unknown radio battery box"

If you check the topics under general discussion there is one called "decontaminator". I posted a pic showing where it goes in there.
