Does the turn signal harness need to be hooked up in order to get the break lights to operate? Yes, I have the mentioned scenario.

hello

the brake lights works as follows

wire no 75 from light switch to stop light switch

other wire no 75 back to light switch (if the switch is in the correct stand )

wire no 22 to directional switch

from light switch as no
22-460 to right rear stoplight
22-461 to left rear stop light

the rear is a combination of stop and directional lights
you have only two stop lights if the directional switch is in the middle
otherwise one stop and one directional

so you see all must be connected :D

Thanks, George. That's what I thought.
