Selling my 1973 M151A2 - Restored

Unread post by mrdibbles » July 9th, 2009, 6:22 pm

Hey Guys-
I have decided to sell the M151A2. I have documented the restoration of this M151A2 on this forum as well as the G503. I have hundreds and hundreds of pictures detailing every phase of the process. This is an uncut rust free M151A2. It was media blasted, primed, and painted. It has approximately 2,000 miles on it since restoration was completed. The powerplant installed at restoration was NOS (NOS engine and NOS transmission). It comes with this Camo vinyl top as well as a Weebee Webbing full canvas top. The vinyl seats were done by David Pizzoferato. The radio gear is fully functional. Also included is some very rare Chemical Detection equipment (demilled of course). The tires are near new and it drives like a dream. This M151A2 is ready for whatever convoy or parade you're planning. I have well over $20K into it and none of that is labor. All receipts will go to the buyer. Please PM me if you are interested. Price: $14,750.00.
Regards,
Matt-
P.S. The M4 Pedestal has been removed and is thus not included. Also... since these photos were taken a Fording Kit has been installed. Otherwise these recent photos show the condition of vehicle.

Hey Guys-
Nope this doesn't mean I am going away and I anticipated I catch a little flack. If I didn't I'd have been hurt. I thoroughly enjoy the group we have here and wouldn't walk away from that for anything.

This is a VERY nice A2 and it will make someone real proud... it sure has me. I know fully that I am deeply infected with OD fever so please know that I know this isn't the end by any means. I will replace this with something else... maybe not that far off.

Why am I selling it... I'd rather get explain that in PM. So if you really need to know call me or PM me. Suffice to say it's a confluence of reasons... some I can control and others I cannot.

Hi Guys.

I'm lucky to be able to say Matt is a real close friend and I can assure you that this was not an easy decision for him.

I have worked on this 151 and its one of the nicest I have ever seen (I have seen and restored a bunch of them over the years !!!!), I hate to see him get rid of it but for for someone that wants a totally turnkey 151 that will require nothing at all this is the vehicle for them. Its runs and drives like new and everything that could be done during the restoration was done and he did not skimp on anything.

This would be an ideal vehicle for someone catching the green bug that has no time to restore or work on a vehicle of their own as there is nothing that it needs.

Dont worry about him being Green free for long, we will find something else for him, who knows maybe a piece of armor could be in his future :)

Matt,
I'm sure you have your reasons for selling the A2, but i can say this yours would be the most beautiful jeep i've ever laid eyes on.
Its sad that you have to sell a marvelous piece you've so precisely and marvelously restored, but none the less Good Luck with the sale, though i must say the price is a big catcher!

Man  I can't believe it! I remember when you first posted over on the other G about your new "toy". Without a doubt, it has been a previlage to "oogle" the images of your A2 as it is the nicest example I've ever seen. I can only describe it as "mutt porn" and I'm sorry I don't have 14 K laying around here for it.

Let's hope to see you in something else (maybe an A1  :) ) OD real soon.

Regards,
WC
