keep in mind that the 24087 on the current fed standard list is not the same shade as it was in the mid 1960's. I believe the standard number you want is 595 and the current number is 595B. they changed a lot of colors but kept some of the same numbers. You have to use the original standard to get a perfect color match...

Hey Moose,
I've heard this "different 24087" shades before. Not sure I ever heard a definitive answer of comparison. I have an M416 trailer I had painted with the current Gillespie shade, and gallons of the same to do my 64 Kaiser, but have a friend that added black to his 24087 to make a darker shade, as he said my new 24087 shade looked almost like "UPS brown". He has a military color wheel of paint shades I can use to compare the difference on May 4th. Not sure if a picture would show the differences, but it's worth a try.
