Fair radio would have been the place I would have said to go but they just closed their doors. They may still be selling out the last of their inventory yet, I don't know.

I just purchased some parts from Fair Radio on September 21 and received them, so they were still open then. I was amazed at the immediate shipment of parts. The prices were also very good. I'm sorry to see them go as I have been buying from them for decades and have never been disappointed. Unfortunately, they did not have replacement frequency marking plate inserts for my RT-524 radio. I think I'll simply have some made out of white plastic.

If Rick doesn't have a H250 I believe I have a NOS one. PM me if you need.

If Cav trooper has an NOS one then jump on it. It is going to be at least a few days before I can look for mine.

My RT-524, antennas and cables are all installed. I'm ready to depart for the Southeastern Military Vehicle Rally at Windrock Park in Tennessee. I loaded the 1/4 ton on my XM1061E1 trailer and am towing it with my M35A3. Should be a lot of fun. There should be others there with radios so I can check mine out.

It's funny, the 151 on that trailer makes it look bigger than the M35! You should have just built some ramps and run the 151 up into the bed of the M35. I have seen that done many times. Nicer if you have a berm you can back up to and just drive in and out at the other site but I have seen ramps work.

I moved an M151A2 for Mike Crowe, AKA Microjeep on Steel Soldiers, who unfortunately has passed away. He bought it at one of the Georgia Rallys a few years back. We put it in the back of my M35A3. Driving it back through the mountains, I couldn't even tell it was in the back.

I now have another communications problem. The MX-6707 I found on Ebay turned out to be a dud and I'm returning it to the seller. I'm now searching for a replacement MX-6707.

Just so you are aware, the tuning knob on them can only be manually turned in one direction, if you try to turn it the other way you turn it into a dud. Ask me how I know this. I let the radio auto-tune as long as that feature works and if it doesn't I am only using the one frequency anyway so once set it stays there.

If you haven't found a MX-6707, I have one I just tested on my rig and it does auto tune. Let me know. I was planning on putting it together with a RT524 and mounts, cables etc. and selling as a kit but, I haven't gotten the 524 running yet. I will sell it separately. $100 plus ship.

While going over this thread, I was reminded of this website

Very helpful when getting into the details of these radio sets. They even have the TMs.
