Re: Not so favorite picture
I was talking to him on the phone and do you see the roof support sitting on the mutt roof? He told me that the fabric of the mutt roof is all that is holding that end of the structure up!!!!!! Those bows and windshield have to be screaming for mercy. Hambone, looking at that again you might want to get some lumber under that beam and take a little weight off of that mutt roof. Not a lot of movement, just a tiny bit of weight relief to save the windshield and associated bodywork.

That or the Wren nest in the top.
Mark, I would have to drive 8 hrs north to find one of those.
Rick, I'm thinking of putting a ratchet strap on that corner post and lifting that beam an inch or two.

Do your build-back with a bit more pitch on that roof, Hambone.

Re: Not so favorite picture
That collapsed roof reminded me of the time when the volcano (Mt Pinatubo) back home in the Philippines erupted in 1991.
Our city was covered in about 12 inches of volcanic sand and ash. On the morning after the eruption, it looked like it snowed but the only problem is, its gray and it won't melt It took me and my cousin a week just to clear the roof.
Roofs with metal trusses collapsed compared to the ones made of timber.

Making a little progress, insurance man said I could send him a bill for tearing it down, he should have ask my labor rate, plus I'm salvaging all the material, with just a little truss work, I will have another shed.
