Re: USMC M151A2 FAV
Hi.
This looks very much like one I saw at W&P revival some years back when it was at the racecourse.
It seemed a bit "home built" so I was not sure of it's "pedigree". Is there anyone who knows more on this one and others like it?

Re: USMC M151A2 FAV
Camp Eagle was in Albania. The USMC was involved in 1997 to safeguard the US Embassy staff etc during some sort of uprising.

Re: USMC M151A2 FAV
Hi
Thanks for the info. Are the vehicles in these photos original, or are they now in privat hands? Does anyone have original army photos of the vehicles?
On a side note to Ken . Torben says hello. We are again putting a lot of new steel into his Mutt.
Cheers

Christian,
The CAV at the Dover Air Force Base Air Show is privately owned buy a guy in our Fort Miles group. He may well be able to tell you more of the history of that vehicle and may jump in here when he sees this post. The USMC FAV under this topic was still on active duty when that photo was taken. You may want to research the internet for original photos of these vehicles to answer your last question.

Thanks Joe
I have trawled the net and found some photos. Only a few are the same. They all seem to differ compared to eachother. Were these vehicles built locally as "one off" or was there some sort of standard they were supplied as?

Re: USMC M151A2 FAV
I don't remember seeing this newsletter Ken. Is this a new one?
Re: USMC M151A2 FAV
I think it is from 2004. Motivated by that front page I was reading again through quite a few of Ken's newsletters today.

Re: USMC M151A2 FAV
oh happy times at the War and Peace show. thanks for the memory Ken.
The Mutt is one of the Bartow ones we picked up in Gemany. It turned out to be a FAC (forward air control). In those days A2 was a new thing in Denmark. Until then we had mainly A1. Not that meny left now. Many have rotted away and more have been sold abroad and lost their dansih identity.
We are now trying to save as many of the surviving dansih A1 as possible in our club www.dmkf.dk I still have a few resting peacefully in my yard.
In the documents located on the M151 FAV I was supprised how long time these were in service.

Re: USMC M151A2 FAV
After 25+ years old becomes new again ... Just spotted these which are supposed to be newly licensed products of the Army. Look familiar?
