The worst part is cutting that hole in the cowl, not hard to cut but you keep second guessing yourself on the measurements, there is just no room for mistakes, that heater just fits in there. Thank you for the positive comments, makes taking the extra time for pictures worth it.

I have an NOS heater for mine and it is most likely going to stay in the box. I also have a ton of heater parts that came from my buyout of the Las Vegas stock, now you reminded me I think I will throw a bunch of that in the trailer for Gilbert.

Next on the list is making the 5/16 fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump, about 6 bends to make, of course one mistake and kiss the line good by. Manual says 67" line and a 63" conduit cover. Locally the longest length available was 60" so I found a 72" length on Amazon, about $12 shipped. Here is the first bend, the easy one, now on to the critical 90's that send it down to the floor and over to the tunnel, blind faith here as the line won't fit back until the next 3 90's are bent.

I would get 3/16 Ni/cop brake line and build the gas line from that first. Then use that as a template for the real line. The brake line is MUCH cheaper!!!! And you can bent it by hand. And you can always use what is left over for actual brake lines on your vehicles!

Once you get the dropdown bend after it leaves the tank, it shouldn't be too bad, let me know if you need ant measurements.

45 degree bend straight up about 2 inches down the line.

Perfect, thank you. I have been using this 5/16 bending tool for a few years and have been guessing where the bend was going to land, well I figured it was time to finally read the instructions, hmmm those little letters and marks on the tool actually mean something, here is a practice bend I did tonight, amazing results when you understand the tool. Also finished up the WS motor, linkage and cover install.

When bending the pipes in a power substation there was a formula for it, to get bends exactly whee they belong

Hambone, do you have a picture from the outside of the wheel well where the line comes through into the engine bay ? and a measurement of about how much line comes through once it come out of the grommet on the toe board into the engine bay, mine seems too long and it needs to be cut, a measurement from the grommet to the end of the line, including that 90 bend would be great, I'm almost finished.

It comes straight out of the firewall about 7", then 3" 45 degree bend up, about 10" total line after it leaves grommet.
