radio power terminal block
Does anyone have the part number or where to find the power terminal block that's supposed to mount in the battery compartment to connect power to the radios?

Thanks all, I'll check it out. I'm going to MVPA convention next week so, if nothing else, maybe I'll find one there.

Re: radio power terminal block
that should work but all the big players should be there so look for TJ Murray, Frontline and Army Jeep Parts. It was Army Jeep Parts that bought out all of Saturns inventory.

Re: radio power terminal block
Unless buy out was recently, I purchased the terminal kit from Saturn earlier this year. I have yet to install but it was mailed out end of January 2019 according to postage label. Saturn has more than 10 available on ebay right now...

Re: radio power terminal block
I know it was sometime in the beginning of the year because I was talking to Bernie from DelVal Trucks about it. He was interested in the inventory but apparently there was some shady dealing done just like when they sold the 151 inventory to AJP.
What is on E-bay is the left over stuff, you notice there are no returns accepted. Still, there are the parts you are looking for right there.
I will always miss Saturn, they were fantastic people to deal with. I could call in the morning and the parts would be at my house the next day! They are on the Ohio border and I am in NJ so I never figured out how they did that without charging extra for shipping but they did.

Re: radio power terminal block
I just got a message from Saturn. I asked if they would combine shipping since I need a couple of things they still have. I was told I could call them and they would take an order over the phone or ebay and combine shipping. I am going to MVPA so, I may wait until I see if the stuff I need is there, save on shipping. Thanks for the info.

Re: radio power terminal block
Found on at MVPA at Army Jeep Parts on sale. $12.50 only one left. Good deal. I have everything connected and it appears the AM 1780 is not working. Saga continues, now I need to find a AM 1780 in working condition and less than an arm and a leg cost wise.

Re: radio power terminal block
Been a while since I have been involved with radios but I believe the 1760 has fuses in the back. Might want to check. I have several mounts but they are in a storage container that I REALLY need to start getting cleaned out but health has kept me from doing so. As it starts to cool off I will be doing just that.

VIC1 Am1780 not working
I finally broke down and sent all of my VIC1 parts to Radio Equipment Co in Winchester, Ky. They have a gov contract to restore/repair radios and intercom components, not sure what else. I called them and described the problem and the guy I talked to, Gary Johnson said to send down and they would bench test and give me a report. Turned out 2 C2298's had bad amps, one C2298 had a bad switch, 2 C2298's were good to go and the AM1780 was dead. They gave me an est. and I agreed and they had them all repaired and complete function tested, shipped in 2 days. I've got everything reinstalled but the headsets and ready to test. Seem to be a good bunch of people.
