so let's assume the old doc was just wrong. Keep us posted...
Got the results back Friday, THANK THE LORD everything came back NEGATIVE, I've been doing a lot of praying lately, Doc said it was great news that the scan came back clear, now we need to figure out what is causing my headaches. Been on a 2 day alcohol celebration  , hopefully you can put up with me a little longer :D , more projects ahead, someone has to keep the restoration section rocking.

great job, it's looking spectacular!

Thanks Rupert's, it's been a fun project, my friend ask me when we were taking it mudding.

OMG, you have a show winner right there! Looks amazing! :)
Thanks Lou, not sure it's a show winner but I wanted it to look nice, my next project won't be this extensive.

Good news on the MRI, Didn't know it was for headaches. Welcome to my world, I have been getting severe headaches for most of my life. I get the trifecta. Migraine, tension and cluster. I have medication for them but I don't like to take it since it is an opiate and a barbiturate together. But I have found that if I try to hold out then the headache really takes hold and getting rid of it takes a lot more than if I catch it in the very beginning. In my case it apparently is inherited as my mom had the same exact problems. The docs have never found a cause for them.

I've had several tests in the last month, now the MRI doctor suggested I see an eye specialist, so that will be on Wed. I made it 60 years with no issues, now I'm falling apart.

I warned you about this, I also told you gold rusts so don't believe all the crap you hear about the "Golden years". I went to the gun auction today to pick up a rifle I won (A classic old 22 before anyone gets excited) and while I was waiting for my paperwork I was drooling over the pistols coming up for the next auction, in particular a 50 cal. Desert Eagle. I had one of those cannons back when they were new and cost less than a quarter of what they are fetching today. The guy pulls it out and hands it to me. I told him there was no way I was going to bid on it and he said yea, but you look like you really want to have a closer look anyway. That was when I told him I had one many years ago but had to sell it because I needed the money. I tried to hold it out to aim it and yea, better get that shot off quick because I am not holding 4 1/2 pounds out there for long. And that is empty, I think it was 5 1/5 or 6 fully loaded. Yea, getting old sucks but look at the bright side, You will not be spending 3500.00 and up for a Desert Eagle.

Got the tank and lines installed, the bottom of my tank had a little rust in it so I soaked it about 4 days in apple cider vinegar, flushed it out with hot water and baking soda, then dried it with my shop vac. After that process, I sprayed it down well inside with engine fogger, hope that will prevent flash rust. The fuel lines are original, cloth covers were in good shape, so I just cleaned them up and hit them with a shot of black paint. Installed all new NOS rubber grommets, it turned out acceptable. :D

Got the jerry can painted and installed along with the litter rails, building my own litter pins, going with the style in the pic, I think they used this style later on.

Not sure about the rear facing seat, maybe a M170??, never seen a M170 so I'm just guessing.

I am pretty sure one of the 151 variants had a rear facing passenger seat.

Good Evening Hambone:

Your picture is either of a MRC-107, or more likely a MRC-108. These were operated by USAF Tactical Air Control Parties (TACP) for ground based Forward Air Control (FAC) duties. They also were assigned to Direct Air Support Centers (DASC) as the primary com link between either the FAC or the TACP.

Both the 107 and 108 pallets consisted of four separate radios, each with a specific function. The HF radio operated between 2 -- 29.99 MHZ. The HF had a range of 500 miles and was used to talk to the DASC or the fighter aircraft base. The FM radio operated on 30.00 -- 75.95 MHZ and was used to talk to the ground pounders, usually the troops in contact. The other two were used to talk to the fighter aircraft UHF 225 -- 399.95 MHZ, or the Army air assets, Huey's and the like on VHF frequencies of 116 -- 149.975 MHZ.

The FAC aircraft, of the Vietnam era, the O-1 Birdog, the O-2 Oscar Duce, and the OV-10 Bronco were equipped with the same f radios or their aircraft equivalent. All 4 radios were operated and monitored simultaneously.

My jeep used to be a MRC83. This version has no provision to mount the passenger seats rearward.
