Re: 1978 M151A2 From the Royal Saudi Army (KSA)
It may seem like I've been on vacation, but the fact is, I've been hard at getting this A2 finished up. Lots of small parts needed painting. The suspension had to be reworked. I finally got it off the rotisserie last night and will start putting the power pack in today...
The engine is ready to go. Just have to attach the tranny and test fire it.

I haven't posted much lately, but have been very busy. The truck is fully assembled and we are testing it now. All the lights and systems work well. It needs alignment bad! I'll get some pictures posted.

TOTALLY happy for you! ...but it feels a bit like we're blind men and someone is trying to describe an elephant to us. Please try to find time to shoot at least one pic for everyone to enjoy!
Cheers,
TJ

Re: 1978 M151A2 From the Royal Saudi Army (KSA)
OK! Here are some pictures. I rolled it out in the sun today and took it for a test drive. Ran great. Found a small pin hole in the fuel return line (I'll make a new one), and a leaky brake line fitting.
You'll also notice that tape is still on some of the lights and the windshield is missing. I'm prepping to give it a final touch up paint job next week. I'll pop in the windshield, and gasket, along with the final assembly items after the touch up.

LOL..... The customer is always right. As it is, every scratch shows the tan beneath.Surveyor wrote:Lookin good! Not digging that shade of green though. Ever thought of painting it tan?
Drove it a bunch yesterday. Runs great. I have a small fuel leak on one of the connections on top of the tank. Brakes need a little adjustment. I'm brining it to an alignment shop on Tuesday morning. After that, we'll give it a touch up with the paint, and get it ready to bring it to the new owner.

It's the base green for the 383 cammo pattern. We had it painted tan, but the guy who is buying it first wanted to do it in cammo, but ended up green, so we are leaving it at that.Lindsay36551 wrote:As always , The Zike touch!

I have it all finished and fully tapped off to do a final coat of paint (tomorrow). Tuesday I hope to stencil and mark it. I should be able to deliver it by the end of the week. That will put the timeline for this resto at 4 months.
I'll post pictures shortly
Next, I'll start on the 1970 Ford A2 that I got from Jason.

Re: 1978 M151A2 From the Royal Saudi Army (KSA)
Saturday i prepped the A2 for a final paint. Sunday, we had a great weather here, and got the job done. Came out very nice. Today I'll put it all back together and tomorrow we'll stencil it up. The stencils and paint are not what I wanted, but are what the customer wanted...... I'm just glad he didn't ask for a WWII star on the hood. I'll post the final pictures once it is done.

And finally, marked, finished and on the trailer ready to deliver tomorrow. This finishes up this project. I'm starting my 1970 Ford A2 now, but going to pick up two more projects on Monday. I'm just having too much fun!!!
