Have my eyes open for a complete 106, working or not. Might be nice to have a full coverage transceiver available at times. Power supply optional.

There was a guy at the Gilbert PA show that had one for sale, I'll try to find out who that was....
Fair radio has them, but they are pricey...

Thanks Moose,

Had a lead on one on ebay a month ago or so in NC, and sniper that I am, didn't have a second chance to get a higher bid in. Sold with pwr supply and meters in it for under $400. Before I'd pay Fair Radio's fair price, I'll paint a Kenwood 430 OD green, and run it with a 24v to 12v converter. :) Got a Yaesu GX767AT here with 2 & 6 meters in it and some other HAM equipment for possible trades.

Hey miljeep,
I have contact info on him. Thanks for the lead!

Jim, I had a knocked around 430 some years back that had been repainted a just off color Kenwood grey that would have been a perfect candidate for an OD job. Lighter and cheaper than a GRC-106 for sure. Still may have a PS-430 sitting around and available for trade. I need to clear out a bunch of electronics to afford my new want lists!

let me know on the power supply, I've been using an Astron, but it would be nice to have the matching piece to go with the 430 and tuner
