And you think you have it bad? Live in NJ!

I just went to buy a Gamo airgun combo on sale. The sale ends right after Christmas. Would you believe I can't even buy an airgun in NJ anymore?! I have to go through an FFL dealer. Well, by the time I pay all those fees then the sale isn't much of a sale now is it? NJ, Michigan and Illinois are the three I think it said needed FFL dealers to buy through. I never would have guessed Illinois, Yea, right! Won't go there.

States rights baby!

This is exactly what is is all about, New Jersey feels that it has an issue with "gun violence"wants to have restrictive gun laws? Perfect, New Jersey can do that without screwing over those of us who are not interested in only the criminals having guns.

Bad for New Jersey, Mass, and Illinois, but good for the rest of us.

I live across the river from Illinois and the people there resent the hell out of Chicago and Cook County just the way New York resents NYC for it's outsize influence. But in the case of Illinois, they can still own firearms with flash hiders, pistol grips, and high capacity magazines.

Actually, no.
Since we live in a Republic, not a democracy, NO state is supposed to have the ability to deny any citizen of ANY state the rights given by God to free men, as enumerated in our constitution. ALL of the restrictive gun laws in any state are 100% un-constitutional. We were a much more polite and crime free society when we actually held people responsible for their crimes, rather than concocting laws that punish the masses for the acts of the few.
On other subjects, like high tax rates to pay for people who will not work, ie., welfare, yup, that is each states call and we can vote with our feet.
NOT trying to pick a fight, I just wanted to chime in, as the intent of the 2nd amendment is very clear.

I would NOT live here if I had a choice! Anyone got a winning lotto ticket? Or a few thousand dollars just laying around they want to donate?
