The best description of my original wiring harness (it's on my early 151 w/out directional signals) is that it's in decent shape in the wrapped bundle areas, but where there are single wires the last 12 to 18 inches is terrible. The ends are there but the wire is exposed. My plan was to rewrap them and use the harness.
I also have been considering using another harness I have that came off an A1. It DOES have directional signals. It is in great shape. It occurred to me that it would be nice to have the directional wiring so that I could attach temporary lights when driving and then "hide and tuck" the wires when displaying.
The only thing I'm concerned about is attaching the front harness under the dash. Is that a booger to do? It looks like it is a fairly straight forward job…..for a contortionist!!! I weigh in at about 290.
