Rocker Arm Oil Line removal

Unread post by jamboly » September 9th, 2009, 9:43 pm

I took the valve cover off my M151A2. I found oil bugling up where the oil inlet line for the rocker arm connects to the head. I wiggled it a little bit and it started squirting oil all over the place. I know there is a seal where the line goes in to the head. I assume you need to remove the oil line to replace the seal, but I can't figure out how to remove the oil line from the rocker arm bracket. Is is just a push/press fit?

Welcome aboard. The oil line is held by a clip that is bolted down under the rocker arm nut. remove the nuts a little at a time evenly so the rocker arm does not get bent. The seal is a common O-ring.
