Rick
The air intake cover scoop does not allow a direct cool draft to be caught from the hole in the hood, rather the suction takes place from inside the engine bay, where the air is relatively hotter. Simpler than physics, is common sense.

I don't agree with Sherwan's contraption because of the bends and the size of the channel the air is flowing in from.
If you have a 3inch hose pipe attached to the intake and out on the fender, that would be better.

I'm still running civi plugs in standard aluminum adapters with no problems. Probably 900 miles on them since I put them in. :) I have no discernable leaks yet :P Personally I wouldn't be in a hurry to add a fording kit without waterproof plugs though.

Rick,
I am the biggest idiot in the world.. The spark plug cable on cylinder no 2 was bad, that's why it was not idling properly and i felt the jolt, but its all good now, the mutt seems to run better on these plugs, somewhat smoother and quieter  maybe its the pipe
but anyways after a few miles i'll pull the plugs and take some pictures and pop them in.

Sam,
The purpose of that oil bath is to filter the air, but the thing is it sucks in air through the hole rapidly then is the bowl which is big, so when air expands it cools down, the particles settle down on the oil, and the oil itself is a heat exchanger, you are taking the principle macro, but its micro, every car has its intake in the bay, even cold air intakes are mounted in the bay for any car where the air is hot, the principle applies to the movement of the air through the intake, so i think its pretty much cold air it sucks in. Since being a self-proclaimed idiot, i apologize if i've offended you, but i agree with Rick totally.

Yo Rainman!
All i need is some silicone and grease, and man i'm sinking this mutt deep  ....Kidding!
The mechanic who overhauled the engine, is a personal friend, also a fan of the mutt, so he is very eager to ford in it! He's got a trick up his sleeve for the plugs, just waiting for him to let it out? :D

PS... Rick, any advice how to water proof these plugs? Silicone?

Floyd,
Going back to stock is really easy and like in an hour or two, i have the stock parts, but the thing is they don't work well, for example the plugs cost $3 and are very old and so every plug has different mileage on it.

OK, Now we are talking! Nice smooth bends and welded seams. Looks good. As far as sealing the spark plugs, I have always used dielectric grease on my CJ-7 and I have put that underwater many times with regular plugs and good quality wires. I don't know how you are attached to the distributor though.

Sherwan,
Is the filter out in the open ? It seems prone to get wet in the rain, have you figured out a water discharge or do you plan to cover it when it rains ?
Which filter element is used ?

Sam,
Yes the filter is out in the open, i don't intend to drive it when it rains, the element is plastic fiber.

as we always say, it's yours and you can do with it whatever comes across your mind. In my opinion it is a shame to add this bubba stuff to a perfectly good M825...
