Let's see a picture, but it sounds like it may have been converted to a 60 amp system. Does the alternator/generator have a regulator and cooling fins on the back of it? If so it's a 60 amp.

Could be a replacement engine, is the alternator hooked up? The conversion is not hard so it may have been done by the P/O.

All of the 60 amp setups have three belts. Just so you know they are not the same belt as the A1 2 belt setup.

Rick
OK thanks rick......................its short one belt but thats ok, its a yard jeep. Going to eventually strip it for parts. She dont idle worth a crap without choke but its peppy and runs strong and starts right up but the rear diff is shot and when backing up the rear sounds like a bulldozer and it will pop out of reverse backing up a grade. Its got a few goodies that I want to swap over to the other less of a turd mutt. The best part is that the front grill has never had the artic cover installed so no hardware is installed.................great for my "exactly Vietnam" jeep. As I like to call her a fifty dollar whore in a five hundred dollar dress.

Hey, jeff, if you paid 50 dollars back then I hope it was a monthly rate, that included washing, ironing, shinning boots and cleaning brass, cooking, a haircut, along with a few scientific massages, you know - they were the ones with a happy ending.

oh yeah- send pics, the 151, not of the 500 dollar dress

LOL.......................well that would have been expensive thats for sure. I will take more pics in all her VN glory in detail as it will have all the stuff onboard the next 2 weekends. I dont usually fill her out on my local trips. Here is a pic of the VN jeep at my local club MV show a couple of weekends ago.
