WANTED: WORKING RT 524 radio

I need a working RT 524 or 524a. Cosmetics not a big deal. Face plate cosmetics -YES! It needs to have ALL knobs and lenses etc. and WORKING! Trans and recieves.

Murphy's surplus, and Fair radio both have them I think, around 300 for a working example.

I dont think the ones Fair have are working.Google rt524 for sale and look for PVT. Jarhead in Reno.He sales them working for around 350.00 plus shipping I think.

If you find a working radio for $300 let us all know where.
There is one nut on a M151 that is very difficult to remove.....

I purchased one from Rapco out of Bowie TX for around $300. It didn't work but I purchased the three parts off ebay.
Their number is 940 872-2403. I think they work from 9 to 5 centeral time. It can't hurt to call. Good Luck.

Dave You mentioned that you were planning on going to Aberdeen this year. There were a lot of 524's there last year. If you can wait You can see what your buying plus save on shipping
