I just came across this video where they document a MP who served in VN, shows an A2 with a 1970 serial number, this is the first A2 proof in VN I have seen.

I saw a bunch of them when I was there, matter of fact the ones I have seen were published in this and most other forums. It was a long line of A2's, some with TOW's on them waiting for one of them to fix a flat tire. This was taken in Pleiku and I distinctly remember seeing that group and it caught my eye because of the TOW's.

That is not a video about a MP in Vietnam, It is about the ATF. If this is a mistake then please edit it to the correct link otherwise delete it or ask me to.

wow. i just now watched the corrected MP video. took me back in a hurry. you think that would go away, but it apparently hasn't. in this pic, taken on road patrol one day in 1970, i am standing next to the highway sign that pointed the way to xuan loc.
