Civvy alternative fan belts, 25 & 60 amp.
Just been through the pinned list in the Wiki and the following are listed:
Fan Belt
NAPA 7340
Gates N7340
Gates 7330 for M151A1 w/25 amp generator
Dayco 15340
Goodyear 15361
Military MS35909-2
Has anyone been running a civilian option without issue and, if so, which one did you choose?
Tx.

Good timing. I recently bought a NOS set of military belts. I'm going to NAPA soon with them to compare to what they have there.

There are only two lengths, the A1 is a bit longer than the A2 but in either case you need to get matched sets since they are so short there is no way you will get three belts off the shelf to all tighten evenly without being a matched set. And that is about impossible to find anymore.

For my NOS belts, advertised as a set of 3 for the A2. Here is what is stamped on them. DAYCO 02869 11599019-1 MIL-B-11040 15/32X35.5EL
At NAPA 25-7355 made by Gates is what seemed to match up.

A 7355 is a 1/2" longer than the original belt which is not too big of a deal but you will find that all three belts will never all be tight.

Re: Civvy alternative fan belts, 25 & 60 amp.
There used to be a numbering system on the belt that showed the position of that belt as it is cut from the master roll. You always want sequential numbers. I have been doing some research on the matched belts and apparently that is a thing of the past. Probably since most automotive belts are now serpentine.
But here is something to think about.
