flat spot tire

hi
i had to make a emergentie stop :x
now there ware flat spots at the rear tire`s
after trimming they are round again only a bit les profile :D

That piece of equipment would have been nice to have during my dirt track racing days. We did it with a hand tool!

We never worried about making them perfectly round on dirt but those types of tools have been around for many years. They were used by the pro teams on indy cars and that type. The ones I saw basically ran the tire at speed and sanded off the high spots. Back in those days that was mostly the realm of the manufacturers and the rich teams. Then the big off road shops started to get the machines because at the time when the 38" and 40" tires were coming out they were "Lumpy" and if you wanted a smooth ride they needed to be run on the machine. Nowadays the new tires are perfect right from the factory.
