Hello everyone, I am looking for a motor for my A2, I have contacted a store that has this motor available ...
Is this an A2 motor? I would say that it is from A1 but my knowledge is not very broad technically ... what do you think of you?

I agree with Mark on engine type. That is not a A2 fuel pump but a vacuum pump. Is a 25amp charging system. A clear picture of the data plate would be nice also. The contract number could help ID engine type.

It is an A1 motor complete minus the carburetor but if you already have an A2 with the charging system and fuel pump then all the parts will swap over to this motor. The engine itself is exactly the same.

So to be a2 would you have to change the fuel pump, the 25 amp generator and the pulleys? Is the carburettor valid and everything else?
It is a repaired motor, perhaps the information on the data plate is not the same as the motor is now mounted, but I will ask for it to clear up any doubts. a greeting

I have done this before, also got an A1 engine for my 151A2 and used it while rebuilding my original engine.
As said by others, no big deal to use in an A2. Only small problem is that the timing mark will not be compatible with the 3 belt pulley. Either bend it or use one from an A2 engine.

As said it's an A1, better check if it's locked up...you can start it on the ground just take the fan belts off and be careful...

Companions! I keep turning the engine, I may buy another one that I found, but I have the same problem, it is from A1 and mine is an A2 ...

Do you have the complete A2 engine from yours? If you do then you have everything you need to convert and it is a very easy job. Take the fuel pump from the A2 engine and swap it to the A1 engine. You do not even need to remove the oil pressure safety switch if you don't want to. Swap the fan pulleys and the crankshaft pulleys. Before you take off the A1 crankshaft pulley turn it to where the timing mark lines up and then remove the pulley and swap the A2 pulley on and mark a new line on the A2 pulley in line with the A1 timing mark. OR, you can take the timing cover off of your old A2 motor and put it on the A1 motor. The motors are all the same and all of the parts will interchange. You do not really want to go to a 25 amp generator if you have a 60 alternator already because the 25 amp generator uses an external regulator mounted on the firewall and different wiring. You are already set up for a 60 amp so best to stay with that.
I do notice that on this motor there has been an extra vacuum port added to the top rear of the intake manifold. Probably to run the wipers meaning the vacuum pump on the engine is probably failed. And the pump in the vacuum pump spot is not original and looks to possibly be a fuel pump of some sort? The oil pressure safety switch I mentioned is not there so they were not running the stock electric fuel pump.

Ok, I understand that I have to put the 60a generator and I will need the 3 belts, I put the old pulleys of my engine

He is saying the external fuel pump is a fault because the A1 used an electric fuel pump. You need the external fuel pump so do not worry about that, It is not the correct pump though so that is the only thing I would worry about. I would use the one from your old engine. The oil pressure safety switch can be seen in the first set of pictures of the first engine you showed us, it is sticking out between the oil filter and the vacuum pump. Again, you do not need this so do not worry about it. Water pump is the same as your old one. The vacuum fitting I am saying was added is on top of the intake manifold at the far right in the picture. It has a tube on it facing the rear of the engine. This could be left on there and plugged or it could be removed and a pipe plug put back in the manifold.
Keep in mind that you can save all of the good parts from your old engine as spare parts for this engine.

The fuel pump does not worry me because the seller already told me that he had put an external one due to the faulty diaphragm, I am going to put the one for my engine and repair the other one that will be a spare
Otherwise everything has an easy solution. I think I have already found a motor

In the end I will put the A1 engine as it comes, I include the voltage regulator for the 25A generator
I have seen that this regulator goes around the fuel evaporator area, maybe I have to remove the black bottle to put this box ...
I hope that it will be faster and easier to put the engine ...
Possibly one day I will make the changes for A2 but not now ...

Sorry but that's nonsense.
Changing the parts to make it an A2 configuration is a matter of less than an hour. As said before, I have done this very same conversion

Yes, I know, it's not about work.
To make this conversion I have to buy the 60A alternator and sell the 25A alternator that comes with the engine.
