Re: 2020 Gilbert Show Cancelled
Here is the e-mail:
Hello Red Ball Vendors,
It is with a great deal of sadness that I have to tell you that the Red Ball Gilbert, PA show is cancelled this year.
This was not our wish to cancel the show and here is the reasons for this decision:
I got a call a couple of days ago from the Fairgrounds saying they had canceled the West End Fair and they asked if we were going to do our show. I told them we had planned to. They told us that we could do the show but we had to do it outside the fence meaning the parking lot.... there would be no electricity, no water, no bathrooms as the Fairgrounds themselves are shut down for the rest of the year. We would have had to use our own Porta Potty‘s and this type of thing.
We considered doing this to keep the show on BUT…they then said that even if the County goes into the “green stage” we would only be able to have 250 people IN TOTAL on the grounds . This was a decision of their Board of Directors in conjunction with their insurance company.
We hated to have to cancel the show but we did not see any other option for us as the Vendors and Exhibitors alone exceed the 250-person limit.
Don't forget.........The Red Ball Club will be having our Winter Swap meet in March 2021.

Re: 2020 Gilbert Show Cancelled
Damn! That is a shame, Last year was probably one of the best years I have seen. I thought this would have been over with by September. I sure hope there is a vaccine by 2021!! I would hate to think this is going to continue for years to come. I can tell you that I am completely done with China and anything that has to do with China! This is the third major illness to come out of that country and they all could have been stopped before they got out.

Anyone going to the Pocono show? I'll be there tomorrow. Delivering (2) sets of full side panels then checking the show out. Not taking any other parts.

Hi Scott. I was wondering if I'd see you. There wasn't much there today but maybe more will show tomorrow. It was better than sitting home and I got to see some friends.
Owner of the A1 was asking $7,500. Appeared to be uncut. Front cross member was toast. Front floors had some small holes, sides had some patch work and rear panel had the classic rot line. Front fenders need work, windshield was missing wiper assembly. The rest of the bottom looked pretty good. Same guy owned all the vehicles that were for sale.

Some more pics of A1:
Can't really see it - the rot line starts under the spare tire.
