yesterday i drove home made contact off engine dont stops
engine keep running like the ignition is on
the contackt switch is ok
at the 60 amps alternator below the cover the thin wire 568 had a bad isolation at the soldering
a inner wire was to the load cable so the wire no 568 give power to the wireno 12 ignition engine keeps running
a new wire at the alternator problem solved
this can happen george

I can remember many years ago when alternators were first being used with internal regulators that would happen sometimes same basic problem. Funny how things pop up like that so many years later. Have seen it happen many times with external regulators where the points or a relay would stick on.
