Desert Tan Canvas/Vinyl Top/Doors
Hi folks, hope you're all well.
I'm wondering if any of you know the NSN/federal stock number for desert tan tops/doors. I've seen the door parts out there, but never an entire set and never a top, but having seen them in real life years ago, i know they exist.
Anybody have a master part listing that shows the correct stock number for these tan parts?
Thanks in advance.

Don't know the numbers but the tan vinyl used to come up from time to time on Ebay. There was a gentleman that had them around College Station Tx. for sale but I have not seen them offered for awhile now. This mutt was for sale last year that sported the tan...

Re: Desert Tan Canvas/Vinyl Top/Doors
Thanks so much for the lead! Most of my Army time was in the desert, so i'm headed that way with my restoration. Appreciate any/all info you folks can provide. And i'll thank you in advance for that support. Rick has already been great, and gave me a TON of help with my pre-purchase evaluation.

Mutt Hunter, You may wantto look at the post above aboutthe demill and all that crap. That may have a bearing on how much later stuff you are going to find. From what I see in that report they were so pissed about people constantly rebuilding these that they pretty much decided to trash anything that had to do with them at some point and that report was in 1990. Just before the sandboxes.

Re: Desert Tan Canvas/Vinyl Top/Doors
I bought a tan top long time ago, I'll look to see if the NSN is on it, I can remember that number being on some canvas tops I had long time ago(M38A1/M151)
But probably it won't be there as that was old day stuff

I was thinking about going tan a couple years ago, Brent Mullins had the last tan tops I've seen for sale, Red River has the side curtains and doors.

Re: Desert Tan Canvas/Vinyl Top/Doors
Thanks a bunch. I appreciate you looking into it. I have found one source for tan top out of MN, but it will be expensive. They are sending me "fabric" samples in next couple days. I'll let you folks know how it goes once i get them.

You can always get the tan paint out.
