Friday Night - Yanking Powerpack

Had some fun last night pulling the powerpack, with the help of a good friend, preparing for the installation of my NOS transmission. This was a whole lot easier with two sets of hands









Below are pictures of my buddies hunting rig. He's done some interesting mods to make the M151A1 better for the purpose of what he uses it for. He's loaded plenty of deer and hog into the back of this M151! Oh and before anyone cries "foul" the truth of the matter is his Mutt was already a hunting rig when he bought it. In fact he's made huge strides bringing it back to a more "correct" look and feel. I give him high marks for making his Mutt "his" and he uses it in the dirt constantly. He just installed his new powerpack the weekend before and is still buttoning up the wiring and getting his carb running right.

Good looking rig and some great mods...liked the water can...is the ammo can a tool box??......HTN .. by the way let us know if the new tranny is easier on the ears...

Yep HTK... he put that in there for his tools, gloves, and a whatnot.

No complaints about those mods! That is a serious underbody! I love the water spout. Was this in your garage? The wifes minivan is back on the street huh?

Nope not my garage. He has a workshop to the side of his house that I envy bigtime. Is that field faucet not the coolest

Hey I saw the fuel lines on the M151A1 and I was wondering if it is possible to find those fuel lines.I mean the all set of them because i haven't change them at all and I have also cut them in some places and add other type of lines(different material---- rubber)!!!!

I thought you had an A2? The A1 lines would not work since they come from the electric pump in the tank and out on the driver side directly to the carb. Yours have to come out on the other side and go to the fuel pump on the engine.

Ok the Powerpack is back in with the NOS transmission. No major glitches and the test drive was a success. I may need adjust the throttle some but otherwise it all went back together as planned. Having a friend to help, or two, is always nice

My next goal is to get Mark, that's my bud's name, to get onto the G838 and start hanging with the crew here

I'll tell you, looking at the underbody work has me thinking about the crushed mutt that I have.
