Simple, we gave them some...
https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/P08176.018
AWM - "A United States M151A1 Ford Mutt, quarter ton truck, informally named 'Marsha' which is being used by unidentified Australian troops from 17th Construction Squadron. The vehicle has been badged with the 17th Constuction Squadron's unit number, 108, and the distinctive bear's head logo, named after the famous Australian adhesive film company, who's motto was 'A little Bear will fix it'. It also has the yellow shield and red kangaroo of 1st Australian Task Force."
Notice front grill in black, racing stripes, top, and alcohol on the hood and if I had to guess that's beer cans behind the seat.

The alcohol is actually used for anti-freeze as duty free it is cheaper than the stuff sold in service stations (at least that is what used to happen with our embassy staff in Sweden) and the carton would undoubtedly be bottles of car polish. Can't believe anyone suggested those guys would be into the booze!

Apologies. But you must concur that the beer gut on the left could make a non-Aussie lean in that direction. He must have been the chief surveyor.

I know I'm generalizing again but if that's what Aussie women look like then I reiterate that all of it is definitely alcohol.
