Thats more of an Iltis problem than a deep water fording problem.... They had plenty of issues with the Fuel Pumps and TCI Boxes croaking without warning, no fording required. Guys that own them seem to be quite emotionally attached to them, but you rarely find a soldier who served with them that thought they were great. Stock up on spare parts while you still can [/quote]
Scott you may be right that is why I decided to sell the iltis after all it is not a m151 sold the iltis and m101 plus the parts last week never liked the iltis much myself. Now looking at a M35A3 or M923 will see

You have to be careful about how deep the water is and how fast you go or your fan will chew into your radiator. (ask me how I found this out) If you loosen up your belts so the fan will slip when it hits any water (like you are supposed to do when you deep water ford) you can avoid any damage.Francis Marion wrote:There's nothing wrong with a little water.
