Seabee version 1973 American General MUTT with ROPS

Unread post by raharr01 » November 13th, 2021, 10:06 am

Both side panels and rear panel are by Guy Loomis. All fit perfectly. Seabee62 and I served in the same NMCB 62 Battalion.

Don't think you will be happy with the little round mirror, that was probably the first thing I did change on mine...

And if you drive it much, you will want to install a mirror on the passenger side

I'm old enough that the small round mirrors were all that was available on the farm trucks I drove. So, it's not a distraction. I have a100+ miles in the MUTT on the highway already, so it serves its purpose.

I do a lot of city driving and there the small mirror just don't cut it. Times have changed. I put on the passenger side mirror when I went to the UK but found it quite useful afterwards so I kept it.

In any case, welcome to the small club of ROPS lovers ;)

Very small but I am one of them. We all seem to be current or former race drivers that like the ROPS. Don't know why, besides they have saved my bacon many times.

So, I have to ask the question..............

Since you have it marked up as a Seabee unit,.........is it stolen :?: :P

Of course. How else would a Seabee acquire equipment?
