I guess shipping will be a little better than having to send it across the country. Thanks I’ll check him out.

Well I found out my one PRC 77 didn't power up because the U-317/U power connect plug wasn't with the radio when I purchased it. I found one cheap and now I have two radios that power up. I'll be testing them tonight to see if they will talk to each other. All I need now is to install the RT524 and see if it works.

Not too long ago you could get a prr-9 helmet receiver for about $20. I got a couple at 51 mhz. Like everything else it seems the prices are starting to increase.

Well I got around to looking into my PRC 77 radios and between the manual and reading a few forums I discovered that all my radios needed was a cleaning. Now both radios send and receive. Next step is to install the 524 and see if I get lucky with it working.

David Bowie, Space Oddity, 1969. Remember it well. Bowie cover just about every rock genre out there. He went from normal to about as far out as you can get and back to normal before he died. I didn't like all of his music but I do have to admit he was pretty much of a musical genius.

Cobra, glad to see you got the radios working, The 524's were demilled a lot but usually it was just removal of a module or one or two cut wires. Nothing major.
