Serial Number

Unread post by Ralph Harvey » February 17th, 2020, 12:32 pm

I am a new member and this is my first post. I purchased a 1968 Air Force M151A1 Jeep. The instrument panel Data Plate is blank on all lines. Under the hood I have BUDD# 70742 and ORD#8754459. On the engine plate I have Serial# 94203(a little faded), Part# 8754411, and Contract Number DA-20-113-AMC-07506(T)(MYP). Painted on the hood is 68K 3262. I have not yet found any further data plates. The vehicle is out for mechanical repairs and not available for a quick search. I hope from all these numbers a serial number can be determined to be part of a title application. Thank you. R Harvey

Ralph....you have everything you need right there. What you really need is a replacement dash dataplate with the correct information added, along with the "Inspected" stamp....which I'm sure one or more of our member may be able to arrange for you.

I can probably explain what goes where but I'd really like to see some pictures of the vehicle before confirming what you have.

If you can please upload them here, or send them to me and I'll do the upload for you.

Ken
Kind regards....
Ken

I will send the pictures to you in two emails. One will be the data plates and the second will be of the jeep. The second will be later than the first.

My best friend had a blue tic heeler back in the 70's and 80's when we were in school. He lived out in the country on a large farm. Smartest dog I've ever seen. He had 2 little sisters and a little brother. She would try to keep them rounded up in a group when they were outside playing

They are very smart. You are part of his pack. When he wants to go out the pack should go out. When it is time to eat the pack needs to eat. He owns the place we just live here.
