Hi from Tampa, folks. Hope you're all well.
My jeep's body got blasted and is stripped to bare metal and primed. The last few bits need to be stripped and primed. One of those pieces is my windshield frame.
I need to get my wipers off to be effective in that endeavor, but can't seem to figure out how they come off their mounts. Before i start prying and inadvertently breaking them, can somebody post the procedure? I'm guessing there has to be some soldier-proof method that i'm too "simple" to figure out.
Thanks in advance,
dee

Re: Wiper Removal
the best way to remove a windshield wiper from this vehicle is to compress the arm with your left hand and pull the round mounting base from the wiper stud with your right hand, at the same time. this is the proper method for any vehicle that uses this wiper type. the spring tension is reduced that way, and enables you to lift it off.
