25 Amp Solid State Regulator Fitment

Unread post by curtsm151 » June 22nd, 2019, 9:50 am

Decided to ask the experts.

Will a solid state 25 AMP / 28vdc for a M715 fit a M151?

The Manufacturer serial # and Federal Stock numbers are the same on the one off of M715 and the ones ive seen for m151.
thanks

I thought the M715 had an alternator, but 25 amp reg should be compatible whether it's breadbox style or solid state.

That solid state regulator was a direct replacement for the old Delco-Remy and Autolite "breadbox" regulators. It should fit any 24-volt M-series such as the M38, M38A1, M37, M715 and the early 2-and-a-half tonners and others.
