Hi Folks
I’m after some help on my ‘on the road’ project MUTT. She’s an A2 with mongrel parts from A1. Anyway is it normal for the fuel pump to ‘click’ away continuously when the master switch is on and engine running? Is there a modification kit available for quieter running?
Any advice much appreciated.

Re: NOISY FUEL PUMP
The "clicking" noise is normal for the electric pump in the tank. My sons joke that it's a timer for the fuel bomb I'm sitting on.
Since an a2, you may consider going with a mechanical pump which replaces the vacuum pump on an a1 engine if the sound bothers you that much. In doing so you may have to rethink you vacuum hose to the intake if you have early vacuum wipers.

Re: NOISY FUEL PUMP
Thanks heaps for the advice bud. I ‘de-modified’ my wipers to Willy’s style operation to minimise cost of repair.
Re: NOISY FUEL PUMP
Now that's different, an A2 going with A1 fuel pump and windshield! All of the A1 owners are doing just the opposite.
