Dee, Thanks for all the kind words!
As far as priming , I'm seeing a lot of Fish eye and sand blast residue in the prime coat.
I will be sanding 100percent of the body down as we go.
So far ,as the pics show we have some critical corners completed to the 1st step.
We will readdress these later as we do our 2nd time and third time around the vehicle.
In production mode now, just welding, 1st , and initial body straighten.

Shout out to RICK for teaching me how to do this via e mails!
This is a very sound vehicle and a pure dream to work on! This is what I call a therapy truck! fun, try out a new process of straighten a panel , be it heat or hydraulic jack!
So far so good!
Dee your an awesome guy and client!
I'm loving working with you and your FAMILY!!!
I'm thinking 2 weeks and we have a sanding party! :D :D :D :D :D

Dan, That was almost exactly what their trailer looked like. Just bigger with bigger tanks for the media and the rust inhibitor. They would literally shovel in the media like they were feeding coal to a steam engine. I'm guessing they used at least three or four 50 pound bags of the stuff before they were done.

Lindsay used "sand" and "party" in the same sentence. My Army math background tells me that sand + party = beer. I'm in!

Body/cosmetic prep work complete...and the old girl has a new coat of paint. Lindsay's done an amazing job and kept me abreast of the action with great pictures along the way for things i couldn't witness in person. We live about 90 miles apart, so I've been able to make a couple trips. Even though we had a sound platform to work with, I've been amazed at the transformation Lindsay's been able to accomplish in just a few weeks.

While he's painting the MUTT, i'm working on the trailer. Here are few pics of the MUTT after its first coat of paint.
