Since I do not like to waste things I have a question

Unread post by rickf » December 26th, 2015, 7:33 pm

I hate to throw out something that someone else could use. I have hundreds of National Geographic magazines and I have to get rid of them. I really hate to throw them in recycle if someone can use them. Do any of you guys know of charities or schools that would want them?

Are any of them from the 60's that show topless natives from 3rd world countries?.......that would bring back happy memories from my junior years in high school.

Some of them probably are Joe but in the 60's I had no problem at all finding topless women right here! Or 70's for that matter.

Rick, same here, my parents saved every one from early 70's thru the 90's, I have researched and tried to give them away, no one seems to want them, Goodwill cannot even sell them, so like you I guess I will have to dump them in the recycle bin. Shame.....

These days, if you can't get it on the I-phone or I-pad, it's worthless. I tried to give away 2 totes of VCR tapes that my kids accumulated over the years, they ended up in the dumpster.

I see that they do sell on E-Bay and Craigslist.

Hi Rick....we had a lot of them as well, and I would suggest you call the nearest Veterans Home to donate them for the Veterans. I do this with my back issues of the MVPA magazines as well....they really enjoy reading those about military vehicles . Best for the new year ....Seabee

There are people that buy them.
they cut them up and sell individual pages that have interesting old adverts.
