Made some more progress on the full side panels. I did a larger cut out on the back lower radius which made the blending easier and faster. Next will be the axe brackets.

I'll point out (2) items to those really, really, really paying attention. The body is a '68 A1. These sides are not for this truck and are going on an A2. The second item of conversation is where the side panel "snout" meets the front fender top. The radius on the side panel matches the original side panel. The original fender radius actually gets smaller towards the back side where it meets the side panel. The punch and die would have to taper down to be an exact match for the fender. The bend radius on the front of the fender side and the corner radius are correct, ours just doesn't taper down as it would be very expensive to build a die set like that.

Guy, Is the drain in the side panel put there at the same time the panel is made or is it stamped in later? My main question is can the panel be made without the side drain for the A1?

We will offer the A1 style and the A2 style. The side panels are ran on our C1 Laser that has a turret. The program will stamp the drain, then laser the part. Or, in the case of the A1 side panel, just laser the part.

We purchased some new software for our scanning system in regards to the reverse engineering process. We've scanned this part before (A2 rear cross member) but now we are doing it with the new software and the QC guys are going to make a model file for me. With that information I can create the sheet metal flat pattern for our laser.

Seeing all this good stuff makes me want to buy something. So.......do you have a place where some of us non Facebook dinosaurs can go to see a price list? Last time I checked the web site, it was way out of date.
After I get my son moved this June, I just might have some spare money......I hope.

I think the radius on the top bend is off by about one degree. You are getting too good on this stuff, I have nothing to bust on you about anymore. Which is a very good thing.

CAD monkey used the wrong K-factor. I keed!

On a serious note, I notice that the front repair cross members have dried up on-line. On the to-do list?
