disconnect switch on batt ground cable

Unread post by Mark » June 6th, 2010, 3:53 pm

hi you all, I bought a couple of disconnect switched from ebay to put in series with my battery ground cable. The 1st time it worked ok,then afterwards when driving it the gauges would go dead when making a turn, then they would come back on , then stay on for a while, etc. So I R&R the switch with the other one
this time the gauges didn't go dead, etc. so far everything works ok, why it didn't before, no idea, well ya , probaly lost the ground connection to the dash , I know there is a current draw somewhere cuz when I hook up the ground cable before I'd get an arc.
Still haven't mastered the art of posting a picture as it don't respond like it is supposed to,
well gotta go

Look at your light switch. Make sure the instrument light switch is turned off. It is difficult to see the red lights in daylight.
