ID this Antenna Matching Unit?
Does anyone recognize the antenna matching unit on the right rear corner of this M151A1?
Thanks,

Re: ID this Antenna Matching Unit?
Mr. R called it. From the comms section... "AT-912/VRC antenna was an early version with a large rectangular matching unit. It consisted of MX-2799 matching unit, AS-719 Antenna Base, AT-1096 Lower whip section, AT-1095 upper whip section, Tip Ball, and Tiedown" in the 90 degree configuration.
I picked up a NOS one from Sportsman's Guide about a couple year's back. They sold out quickly. Have not seen them for sale lately, even scarce on ebay.

Re: ID this Antenna Matching Unit?
Thanks to everyone. Surveyor....I bought an NOS antenna set from Sportsman's guide a while back also. Stuck it in a corner, never opened....Mmmmm. I can't wait to get home and see if that's it. How lucky would that be?

Does anyone see anything else interesting on that vehicle? Something that technically should not be there?

Re: ID this Antenna Matching Unit?
Many thanks to Surveyor. Due to your post back in 2019, I bought a NOS AT-912 from Sportsman Guide back in October 2019. Little did I know at the time, that it was exactly what I would need almost two years later.

Re: ID this Antenna Matching Unit?
Glad to hear. Are you working on restoring a searchlight Mutt or just recreating the antenna setup? I set mine up on driver's side (with same warning painted on mounting plate) like below and once I had all working cables it worked great.

I'm doing the searchlight jeep. I've got just about everything, the searchlight, 180 amp setup, side mount spare tire... and of course an A1 to put it all in.

You still need a bat shaped grill to place over the light
