Carved one out of SPAM, huh?

Amazing work!

After you painted it green it looked exactly like a differential from a MUTT...

He's got mad SPAM skills and that's a fact!

Wait...

Does that mean he's a spammer?

SPAM is the acronym for Some Parts Are Meat.

Oh boy. I take yet another shot to the funny bone from Raymond!

I credit that to my father, a WW2 combat vet from the European theater. He said SPAM was the only meat he had for long stretches. He liked all the nasty cuts of meat and things like head cheese, sweet bread (pancreas), chitterlings, fatback, etc. But after having SPAM for endless days in a row, he drew the line, and would not eat it.

Well we went from oil leaks to Spam, kind of appropriate. I don't think the OP will mind too much since he already showed his progress and is moving on to installation. I can tell you that after eating C rats in Vietnam Spam was high on the list of yes food. Followed by Scrapple. And I do not even want to know the acronym for scrapple!!!! I think that stuff was made from all the stuff the fell on the floor as they made Spam. But it tasted good and had a million calories so that worked in the field.

Well, to get back to where we belong I will say that his work really looks good. It'll be a shame to take that out and get it all dirty....or not, depending upon your point of view. Dirty is how they should be IMHO.

Cheers,
TJ

When I rebuilt my CJ-7 everybody asked me why I went to all the trouble to paint the differentials nice shiny black and the frame and all that the same. They found out after the first nasty muddy four wheeling trip and it came time to wash everything off. The mud came right off that nice shiny paint while everyone else is pressure washing for hours trying to get clay mud off old rusty parts. Shiny paint has other uses beside looking good.

Well, nowadays you can spray that new-fangled stuff on ANYTHING (including rust) and NOTHING will stick to it. No more painting necessary!

TJ
