I can see this thread being a repeat of others on this subject. Every person and every vehicle is different. I have learned about Condon Skully in this thread and that is a new name to me, but my quote was higher than JC Taylor and I don't know all the limits on the CS policy, so not going to change at this point in time.
My quote for my 1927 Model T valued at $25,000 was $156 per year. A mule, that is not registered to drive on the road and valued at $7,500 I would expect to be much less. So it is not apples and apples.

I had talked to the local Haggarty's to a local club meeting along with a "conventional" auto insurance company and discuss collector car coverage in general terms so members might learn about tow vehicles, oversized tires, off road coverage, mileage limitations, passengers, etc., and the Haggarty's rep said he would not come if another insurance company was present. I thought was a little "hard sell", so it did not come about. Still on my list of things to do. Again, might be another good workshop presentation at a National MVPA convention. But, no, we need to hear about the convoys.

Just added a 1954 M221 to my Hagerty policy. What an easy task! Called them up, gave them the required information and they e-mailed me the Id card. Person on the phone asked questions of interest on the vehicles, etc. Was a very pleasant experience. Hats off to them.

I use Hagerty. Hagerty specializes in letting you actually drive the vehicles. JC Taylor only wants you to drive in the parade and trailer it home, period. And if they ever found out you took a vehicle off a paved road! they would drop you in a heartbeat!!!! Not only that I just Added all of my other vehicles, like my extra diesel pickups and my Mustang GT, onto my Hagery policy. I saved 2,000.00 a year on the Mustang alone!!!! Keep in mind I am in NJ, The most expensive insurance state in the country. But that is one of the things you can do, you only need to keep one regular daily driver vehicle on a regular insurance policy for your normal day to day driving.

Every insurance company advertises that they will save you hundreds of dollars.
So to test this out, I started switching insurance companies every 6 months.
After a couple of years of doing this and saving hundreds of dollars in premiums every time I switched, my premium dropped to 0.
Now the insurance companies are paying me to insure with them. :D

I was right up there at the top, Full coverage on my 06 GT was 2750.00 a year. With Hagerty it is 650.00 a year.

Originally used Hagerty, moved to American Collectors Insurance, 30+ % less with the same coverage. If I had a high end collectable Hagerty would be the choice but for our Jeeps in my opine over priced.

Have had good luck with Hagerty, even with a claim from super storm sandy. They have insured my mutt since 2004 and added the 94 explorer in 2016, saved me almost a grand right there. Paid for collision coverage on the explorer since new (the first and last vehicle we will ever own new). Came to the conclusion that had a bad accident happened with the explorer my current insurance would not fix it and hand me $1,500 dollars. It has only 35,000 original miles looks and rides like new (because it is, almost). So insured it with Hagerty for a value of $5,000. So baring an 18 wheeler hitting it at 65 Mph, it should get repaired rather then totaled. If your not familiar, this type of insurance pays you the 5 grand if the vehicle is totaled. The vehicle is worth more than that to us (My Wife drives it) and feel 5 grand would cover any minor mishap.
