No-kidding, Real Source for A2 Horn Button Repair Kit
Anybody have one? After buying two of them and having them both be too big for the A2 steering wheel hole they are going in, i'm in punt formation and looking for help.
I'd like to get my hands on the entire kit, but if i can't get that, i just need the correct diameter button and the retaining clip.
Any help appreciated,

I just got another horn button in the mail...allegedly the right one for my A2, but I knew I was out of luck again when I saw the 1966 manufacture date on the box. Sure enough, it was the too large A1 button.
I’ve seen the following question asked in previous posts, but don’t see that anybody actually answered it:
—will a HMMWV horn button work on an A2? If so, what’s the wiring work-around since they are constructed differently?
—my steering wheel is in great shape and I don’t want to do this—but will a HMMWV steering wheel fit a A2?
Any help appreciated!

I think so, ask the question to the internet, to original question, not m3A1's question.I see no need for new steering wheel.When pushing the horn button you are just grounding the circuit so the horn beeps.Why does the original not work?The wire from horn button goes down the steering wheel to exit out steering column to horn(got to remember at my advanced age my memory might be lacking).You can check horn by grounding it just to see if it works.The horn has 2 wires 1 hot, 1 cold,

The horn has only 1 wire, hot, it is grounded when you press the button, it is grounded to the steering column.

Mr. Recovery is correct. One wire.

Hmm a hot wire is connected to the horn, the ground wire(is connected to horn) is connected to the horn button, push the button, connects the circuit to ground so horn beeps is how I understand it works.The grounding point would be to the column.

His problem is apparently the early A1 horn button is physically bigger than his hole in the steering wheel of his A2. All that are being sold are A1 horns. I am going to see if I can find part numbers in the -34P manuals to give a clue as to whether they are supposed to all be the same or if the A1 and A2 are different part numbers.

I measured the button diameter on the A2, 151, they were both 1.75". So the early A1 horn button is bigger?
