Looking For information Or RALPH FULLER who posted here

Unread post by qwertyboom » December 9th, 2019, 12:23 am

My father served it Vietnam and was a gunner on the gun truck The mafia, and the jeep was called the little mafia, as many it took years before he spoke of this to me, and is now trying to locate any pics of that truck, or anyone that rode in that. He said he doesnt understand why there isnt much about it since he was told it had the highest bounty by the NVA on it. If anyone knows any info please contact me or reply to this post. The reason im looking for Ralph Fuller is because he posted a picture of the little mafia, and its the only known photo i have Ever Found. Thank you all

Ralph Fuller is deceased. He was a very active member of our website. He was by all accounts a great guy. Sorry to have to tell you this.

R.I.P. Ralph Fuller.

Ralph was a very special person and a good friend of mine although we never actually met. He sent me a video of the gun trucks and some of the areas over there in an effort to try to help me remember some of the things that disappeared from my memory after I was injured. I will try to find that video and send you a copy if you want to pm me an address. I went to Ralphs member page here to look at his pictures but unfortunately they are all blurred out by Photobucket in their neverending greed. I think I have all of that on a thumb drive and I might be able to get that to you also. If not there is a member on here, Surveyor, who has a knack for finding things on the computer from the past.
If you want to search for Ralph on other sites you can do a search for username "Uglyranger". That was another username he used on sites like Steel Soldiers. I just went there but their site is down at this time. They have a group of guys that are big into the gun trucks with many members who were on then in country.

Good place to start … http://www.vietnam-guntrucks.com/ for Big.
Another - http://grambo.us/atav/default.html with Story mentioning both here - http://grambo.us/rose/rose.htm
http://541sttransportationcompany.com/c ... e.cgi?d=st
I see the front bumper was marked with a Fleur de lis and New Orleans. Your last name wouldn't happen to be Marcello would it?
I only see the one so far on Lil.
Rick - if searching through thumb drive, Mr. Fuller's user name/folder for photobucket appears to be WorldCommander. RIP.

Edit - according to https://epdf.pub/vietnam-gun-trucks-new ... d-184.html there were two large - Mafia & The Mafia.

Also seen here moving for a couple of seconds at about the 32 min mark. Still a good video worth a watch by all...those who forget history...

I see many of the gun trucks had there mini m151 counterpart such as Lil Angel, Lil Brutus, etc. Unfortunately, I just don't see any picture of Lil Mafia other than the one. I wish you luck in your search QB.

I printed all the posts by Ralph Fuller back then, been trying to find them for the last hour or so.I know I got them somewhere
I found part of it, the article talked about truck convoys, his call sign was'26', showed a picture of him, his truck company route was from Vandergrift to Khe Sanh, they were ambushed alot, his truck was the'EVE OF DESTRUCTION'
Put Ralph Fuller, Ranger for internet search, you'll see alot information.
PS Didn't see rickf post until I posted mine

Forgive me if this has been brought up before but the original Eve of Destruction is on display at Ft. Eustis Army Transportation Museum. I've seen that truck with my bare eyes. Hope the link works better than last time!

Well, this guy registered at 11:18, posted this post at 11:23 and he was gone by 11:29 and has not been back since. I thought it sounded kind of urgent and I don't see where he posted on the 503. Don't know about facebook or Steel soldiers but I want to thank the guys for coming through like you did on short notice for what appeared to be a vet in need. I like to think that that is what we are about. We will see how it pans out. If I don't see him back by tomorrow I will send an e-mail. All I can do.
