I found a fair grounds in South Bend Indiana that has camping spots. Also what happens at MV meets other than an occasional trail ride or folks selling parts? I was thinking a meet & greet for those that attend. We can organize a local veteran ride along, perhaps a parade with the veterans. Would anyone be interested in doing some work shop demonstrations? Anyone with other ideas?

Trust me, Cajun-style out of state is not the same thing as Cajun. Worst I ever ate was in Texas & Florida. (Should have known better) Texas Chef was from Louisiana but not Cajun and put his own twist on it.... butter on rice is not Jambalaya! Florida, just because you soak your shrimp in Tobasco for umpteen days before frying does not make it Cajun either. Just makes them taste like vinegar.

That being said, don't know if I'll have the 151 ready but I could probably make a trip. Branson doesn't sound half bad. Something I could talk the wife into... camping spot not so much.

You guys are talking Branson but Cobra, who is organizing this is talking South Bend, Indiana. There is just a tad difference in distance there. 700 miles for me so I won't be making it. It would be 1200 miles for me to Branson! Sorry guys but my budget just does not allow that kind of travel expense.

Nothing beats Branson during Veteran's Week. The Veteran's Parade would be great for all of us to participate. See link: https://www.bransontourismcenter.com/ho ... erans-week

Although Branson Missouri sounds like a great venue for a meet but the reason I chose South Bend was because of the community ties with the production of the 151's. I'm sure there are still a lot of folks there that contributed to the manufacturing of these vehicle. So not only would be paying homage to the veterans but also to those folks that built these things. I even thought about splitting the country in two and finding a mid point for an east coast and west coast events. However it all came down to sticking to an area that all these vehicles had in common. There are MV meets all over the country and I didn't want this to be just another show.

For any East Coasters I would strongly recommend Graves Mountain Rally in Madison Virginia over Labor Day Weekend, it would be good to get a collection of 151's there, lots of other big stuff as well. Best part is its about trail riding, there is an entire mountain full of trails to ride, some 30+ degrees, you can go into the woods and not come out for hours, ride convoys, solo or small groups. I missed the last few years but plan on going this year.

If you have never been it is a great part of the country and Virginia, lots of history. Lots of places to stay including Graves Mt. Lodge and cabins on the property.

Speaking of venues, has anyone visited the National WWI museum in Kansas City, Missouri?

Cheers,
